The Student Day in the Hermitage

Annually, especially for the youth of St. Petersburg, during the first October weekend the traditional Student Day is conducted in the Hermitage Theatre. The museum staff members offer a special programme. During the whole period of time of existence of these special celebration meetings, concerts and excursions around new exhibitions were organized. Students visited the closed rooms of the General Staff building, climbed the Winter Palace rooftops and got acquainted with its attic space. The celebration gathers in the museum several hundred of cheerful, active and keen on history and art young people. During the week that follows the Student Day they can sign up for the sections of the Youth Centre Student Club.
