The Assembly Hall series offers a collection of masterpieces of classical literature from all epochs and countries, belonging to different trends, movements and genres. The series of 100 illustrations done by the outstanding artist Alexander Alexeyev (1901-1982) is for the first time published alongside the text by Dostoyevsky. Alexeyev's lithographs, recognized masterworks among book illustrations, were first issued in Paris in 1929 (where Alexeyev had emigrated in the 1920s) for bibliophiles (only in 100 copies) and have never been published again. This rare edition is an homage to the great talent of the Russian writer Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky. Family Library. Assembly Hall Series. Text in Russian. Vita Nova Publishing House, 2005.
