The foundations of the Hermitage collection of jewelry were laid by Empress Catherine the Great. She was a passionate lover of jewelry and so she considerably enlarged the collection with works by well-known masters. This set of 16 postcards presents the most valuable exhibits of the renowned Diamond Room and the Gold Room in The State Hermitage.
