The cross is an embodiment of the world which spread out into four parts but has God at its center. This cross with Crucifixion on the right side and a prayer on the obverse has been made according to the traditions of Russian crosses worn on the body. Its artistic form reflects the main spiritual purpose of a cross made to be worn - the salvation of each person. This is an artistic symbol of the mystery of the Crucifixion and also of a person's devotion to the bosom of the Orthodox Church, symbolizing the second, spiritual birth of someone who has accepted Orthodox teachings.
