Charles V Habsburg, the Holy Roman Emperor, grandson of the celebrated Maximilian I, succeeded in making his Empire a most powerful European state. He united separate German principalities, the duchy of Burgundy, Spain and distant American colonies. This statuette wears the most accurately reproduced tournament armor of Charles V made by the famous armor manufacturer Konrad Seusenhofer. Noteworthy are meticulous attention to detail and great technical proficiency. Not only all the proportions of the original are reproduced in the miniature but it also shows such small details as heads of the rivets, ribs of the armor plates and etched decorations. All these will make the figurine a highlight of any collection of military miniatures.

casting and hand-painting.
